Our Story

Empowering Every Neurodiverse Journey through Interest-Driven Learning.

SeeMe Learn began with a single observation: when children see their own passions reflected in their learning materials, engagement transforms from effortful to effortless. We build AI-powered tools that make this possible for every child, every educator, and every family.

Our Mission

“The core insight of SeeMe Learn is simple but profound: when a child sees their own world reflected in a story, learning stops feeling like work.

We exist to give every neurodiverse child access to learning materials that honour who they are. By weaving a child's unique interests, likeness, and developmental level into every page, SeeMe Learn makes structured literacy and social-emotional learning deeply personal, and dramatically more effective.

Inclusive by Design

Every feature is built for neurodiverse learners first, reducing cognitive overload, honouring sensory preferences, and celebrating individual strengths.

Interest-Driven

A child's passion isn't a distraction. It's a superpower. We transform special interests into the scaffolding for literacy and social growth.

The Philosophy Behind Every Page

Four principles guide every book we generate, grounded in research and refined by real families.

Narrative Anchors

Familiar subjects create cognitive anchors that help children navigate new concepts. When a child's favourite train or dinosaur appears on every page, they have a trusted companion guiding them through unfamiliar phonics patterns and social scenarios.

Reduced Load

By anchoring new learning to existing passions, we dramatically lower the cognitive load required to engage, freeing working memory for actual skill acquisition.

Social Fluency

Social stories featuring a child's own likeness build genuine comprehension of social cues, reducing anxiety and building confidence in real-world interactions.

Active Participation

When children see themselves in the story (literally) they shift from passive reader to active participant. Engagement deepens, retention soars, and reading becomes a source of joy.

Clinical & Educational Rigour

Every book type is built on published, evidence-based frameworks. We implement those frameworks in software and check our own output against them.

Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP)

8 progressive phonics levels with cumulative grapheme inventories. Generated words are checked against the graphemes you have taught, and the level sequence maps onto common systematic synthetic phonics programmes. At the upper levels a book may still ship with a small number of words outside the set — the decodability report tells you which, so you can edit before you print.

Social Stories Methodology

Structured against Carol Gray's Social Stories 10.4 criteria, including the 4:1 descriptive-to-coaching target. Nine automated checks score every story before it reaches you. This is our own implementation of the published criteria — it is not a certification, and it is not endorsed by Carol Gray or Social Stories.

What our Social Story check actually does

Every generated Social Story is scored on nine checks drawn from the 10.4 criteria: sentence structure, the 4:1 descriptive-to-coaching ratio, the one-audience-coaching-sentence limit, WH-question completeness, voice, tone, literal accuracy, celebration rules, and format match.

A story needs an average score of 0.8 across those nine checks to be produced. Because the gate is an average, a story can clear it while still falling short on an individual criterion. That is why you review and edit every page before it reaches a child — the check is a safety net, not a substitute for the adult who knows them.

Proudly Australian

SeeMe Learn is designed, built, and hosted in Australia. We believe that children's data, especially biometric data like photos, deserves the highest level of protection. That's why child profiles and uploaded photos are stored in Australia. The one exception is illustration generation, where a reference photo is securely transmitted to named overseas AI providers at generation time. We use those providers on their paid API tiers, whose published terms state that this data is not used to train their models.

Child profiles and uploaded photos are stored in the Supabase Sydney region, and we operate to the Australian Privacy Principles (APP). EXIF metadata is stripped from every upload, and all biometric data is encrypted at rest.
